Homega Research is a Sigma Orionis brand name introduced at the end of 2002 to further develop the company's activities in the field of "Technologies and Services for the Home" (the networked/connected/high-tech/digital home). More precisely, Homega Research focuses on technological and market developments in the areas of home networks and gateways, networked appliances, and advanced services for the home (based on home platforms or infrastructures). Established in Sophia Antipolis (a major French technology park located close to Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport), Homega Research offers its clients (manufacturers, service companies, research organizations, authorities, etc.) a wide range of technology and market support services (watch activities, market research reports, technology assessments, organization of business and cooperation events, management of EU projects, coordination of marketing & information dissemination activities within EU-funded projects, back office operations of groups and alliances, etc.).
Since 1999, the company has organized the renowned annual Net-atHome™ Conference and Exhibition, the largest international event organized in Europe for the connected home market.
