The SEACOOP partnership has to, and will effectively devote important efforts in the next weeks and months to provide, in close liaison with the European Commission and the ASEAN Secretariat, free support and guidance to organizations from Europe and Southeast Asia intending to submit proposals in response to FP7 Calls. It is with this statement from Roger Torrenti, SEACOOP project coordinator (on behalf of the whole Consortium) that the 2nd SEACOOP Seminar, held today at the European Commission in Brussels, ended. This Seminar, attended by the participants in the 5th SEACOOP Consortium meeting and by Thierry Devars, European Commission, SEACOOP Project coordinator, was organized in continuity with its 1st edition, held in Brussels on April 1, 2008 in Brussels. In concluding addresses of the today's Seminar, Mr Devars and Dr Tambunan reassessed that SEACOOP expected outputs could significantly contribute strengthening cooperation links between the EU and ASEAN and that, in this context, they could only encourage the Consortium to maintain and further develop their efforts.
