On the occasion of the 55th meeting of its Committee on Science and Technology (COST), held in Manila, the Philippines, from July 3 to 5, 2008, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has officially endorsed the SEACOOP project launched with the support of the European Commission (DG Information Society and Media) and introduced in the About us section of this web site. The opportunity to strengthen EU-ASEAN cooperation on ICT research that will be offered by the Forum to be organized in Brussels on October 6-7, 2008 (see the Events section of this web site for full details), and in which around 70 ICT researchers from ASEAN Member States will participate, has also been underlined during the meeting.
