The SEACOOP initiative - Meeting with Commissioner Reding

The SEACOOP consortium had the honour and the pleasure to welcome today Ms Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information Society and Media, who had kindly accepted the invitation of the SEACOOP partners to join them on the occasion of their 4th consortium meeting in Singapore. She was accompanied by H.E. Holger Standertskjld, Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Singapore, Ms Cristina Lozano, S&T Officer, Delegation of the European Commission to Singapore, and Mr Jean-Yves Roger, Head of Sector, International Relations Unit, DG Information Society and Media. After that the present and expected project achievements were presented by Roger Torrenti, SEACOOP project coordinator, Ms Reding lively interacted with SEACOOP delegates and expressed her wishes that the project can be the most successful and thus truly serve the development of strategic cooperation on ICT research between Europe and Southeast Asia.
