The 2nd EU-Japan ICT Cooperation Forum on ICT Research successfully took place today at the Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in Brussels, under the aegis of the European Commission and of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), Japan. Organised with the support of the COJAK FP7 project coordinated by Sigma Orionis, the event was the last one of a series of EU-Japan cooperation events, a series including the 1st EU-Japan Cooperation Forum on ICT research held in Tokyo on March 4-5, 2008, the EU-Japan Seminar held in Tokyo on May 20, 2008 and the EU-Japan ICT Cooperation Event held in Tokyo on June 18, 2009. Over 100 representatives from government bodies, academia, and companies based in Europe and in Japan and active in the ICT area have participated in today’s event and have been provided with an opportunity to network, and identify or strengthen potential cooperation projects in the ICT area, particularly those to be presented at coming FP7 calls.
