With the rise of new web technologies and challenges (cloud computing, security, etc.), it has become more and more important for SMEs and developers to be able to focus on their core business to remain competitive. As part of the FIWARE initiative, developed under the Future Internet Public Private Partnership (FI-PPP) flagship programme of the European Commission, the FI-CONTENT 2 project contributes to providing European SMEs with cutting-edge software blocks. While FIWARE offers generic technologies, FI-CONTENT 2 focuses on Media & Content, providing SMEs and developers software blocks for their applications in the areas of social connected TV, smart city services, and pervasive games.

Sigma Orionis leads the activities addressing “Dissemination” and contributes to the activities related to “Ecosystem building”.
