Homega Research

Homega Research is a brand name of Sigma Orionis implemented end of 2002 to further develop the company's activities in the field of "Technologies and Services for the Home" (the networked/connected/high-tech/digital home). More precisely, Homega Research focuses on technological and market developments in the areas of home networks and gateways, networked appliances, and advanced services for the home (based on home platforms or infrastructures). Established in Sophia Antipolis (a French technology park located close to the Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport) Homega Research offers its clients (manufacturers, service companies, research organizations, authorities, etc.) a wide range of technology and market support services (watch activities, market research reports, technology assessments, organization of business and cooperation events, management of EU projects, coordination of marketing & dissemination activities within EU-funded projects, back office operations of groupings and alliances, etc.).

The company has been organizing, since 1999, the annual and renowned Net-atHome™ Conference and Exhibition, the largest international event organized in Europe in the connected home area.

In addition, Homega Research has been and is still involved (as project coordinator or partner) in several research projects or support actions (partially) funded by the European Commission under the FP6/IST and FP7/ICT Research Programs:
