Beyond GDP – Statistics for Everyone: don’t miss Web-COSI final event
The Web-COSI project will organise its final conference Beyond GDP – Statistics for Everyone at the OECD Headquarters in Paris on December 3, 2015.
Presenting the conclusions of the research and activities conducted by the consortium, the event will be a great occasion to exchange on the use of statistics by the civil society, beyond the GDP aspect and more specifically on the notions of well-being and societal progress.
Policy-makers, non-profit organisations, social innovation actors… this is just a quick preview of the remits of the speakers, whose names are on the agenda accessible on Web-COSI website in its full version.
Web-COSI is a two-year CAPS project started in 2013 aiming at increasing the trust in collectively generated statistics, encourage the use of both official and non-official data related to well-being and societal progress and improve their collection, production and visualisation processes. The project also targets a wider use of these statistics by the civil society through a broader citizen engagement fostered by the development of new indicators.
Attending the event is free but pre-registration on Web-COSI website is compulsory.
