Sigma Orionis is involved in the Network of Excellence in Internet Science

April 12, 2013

Sigma Orionis is proud to contribute to the Network of Excellence in Internet Science (the EINS FP7 project), aiming to strengthen scientific and technological excellence through an integrated and interdisciplinary scientific understanding of Internet networks and their co-evolution with society, and also by addressing the fragmentation of European research in this area.

This network brings together over thirty research institutions across Europe focusing on network engineering, computation, complexity, networking, security, mathematics, physics, sociology, game theory, economics, political sciences, humanities, law, as well as other relevant social and life sciences.

In this context, Sigma Orionis has strongly contributed to the successful organisation of the “1st international conference on Internet Science”, which took place on April 9-11, 2013, in Brussels, under the aegis of the European Commission.
